It’s not paper
It’s a spectacle that invites one to experience a drawing that’s found new life in the three-dimensional space.
“Paper is a collection of usable, sculptural objects that look like paper but are unexpectedly sturdy and functional outdoor furniture pieces.
“Both conceptual and practical, Paper bridges the gap between art and design through humor and humanity. It's an exercise of capturing the artist's message in their gestures and drawings and making it permanent.
“It's mostly, and very honestly, about process.”
– Harrison Parkes
The Process
A drawing is brought into 3D form.
The drawing becomes a single-use mold.
The mold is destroyed to reveal the piece.
Peeling off the mold, the drawing has been perfectly translated.
Co-developed by Zac Bitner and Harrison Parkes.
